As the Senior Director – Innovation Strategic Project Management and Operations you will act as the strategic partner to build a foundation for innovation strategies within medical affairs and cross-functionally. Responsibilities will include designing programs to address unmet needs and provide proof of concept as the basis for broad implementation both domestically and internationally, based on pace and changes within the biopharma industry. 
In this role, you will support the lead teams and act as an internal consultant to drive collaboration, cross-functional clarity and alignment on projects, initiatives and operational activities. This will position Medical Affairs as the cornerstone for the innovation within our industry. Development of innovative, pioneering strategies/product offerings across all Franchise areas of interest; garnering support from Sr. Leadership and other critical partners. 

A typical day may include:
•    Strategic Planning cross-functionally within and outside the Medical Affairs organization; Management of tactical plans that are part of the portfolio; Forecasting; Accrual management
•    Build an innovation portfolio and roadmap to drive growth and spur investment
•    Ensuring Regeneron Medical Affairs is current on trends and opportunities to capitalize on innovation from the healthcare field including but not limited to informatics, electronic health records, telemedicine, ambulatory monitoring, medication compliance and health information
•    Taking a matrix leadership role – participates as an active member on cross functional teams
•    Leading multifunctional teams with line accountability towards the creation of roadmaps to drive innovation 
•    Implementation and execution of the Agile transformation approach across the MA organization working closely with the Strategic Project Managers
•    Conducting gap analysis and Identify individual needs – creating “value” in supporting our strategic imperatives collaborating with the Insights & Value team on the communication of such value
•    Strong collaboration with the head of clinical innovation to align clinical trial initiatives with medical affairs to ensure robust cross functional goals attainment and outcomes for all strategic partners. 
•    Developing and implementing the value proposition for all assets, work closely with Insights and Value team to ensure clear communication to 
•    Collaboration with Research & Development, Regeneron Genetics Center, Commercial & Market Access to ensure alignment and practical activity relating to innovation portfolio

•    Strong strategic thinking and presentation skills to prepare communications using a clear understanding of the business
•    Demonstrated experience to lead special projects around innovation

To be considered for this you should have a BS or MS degree with a minimum of 15 years of proven ability with strategic and operational management skills required to develop and present sound proposals and recommendations, lead discussions on how to determine and prioritize strategies with the pharmaceutical industry. Ability to provide a global business perspective and opportunities by drawing on experience/expertise in cross functional areas in key markets as we establish our global footprint within the life sciences industry. Project manage skills to process improvement initiatives and projects employing a LEAN/Six Sigma process engineering approach. Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management; and ability to effectively collaborate; interact within and across the matrix to lead deliverables and timelines across the organization
