Contract - MANAGER, IT G&A SOLUTIONS

Position Summary:

The Manager, IT G&A Solutions role will collaborate closely with business partners, project managers and vendor partners to deliver IT solutions across a dynamic and growing biotechnology company.  This role will partner with business leads to translate business needs into effective system requirements and be responsible for business requirements, analysis, design, implementation, and vendor management.  This role will also perform day-to-day operations and maintenance of all G&A systems and be the key liaison working with the Finance organization to deliver business process automation and technical solutions to meet the needs of the Finance team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong finance and/or finance systems background and familiarity with setting up sound internal controls structure.  They will have a solid technical background, is well organized, independent and possess a "can-do" attitude. They must also understand the importance of excellent customer service via collaboration and partnership with colleagues in the Finance organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as IT Business Analyst to support financial and other G&A systems
  • Perform day-to-day operations and maintenance; including troubleshooting and resolution of system support requests, working with end-users, IT colleagues, and our Managed Services Partners
  • Work closely with ERP vendor to manage system releases and enhancements to improve end user experience
  • Gather requirements from multiple stakeholders, analyze against available capabilities, perform gap analysis and translate into functional specifications for solution design
  • Understand how systems align with broader G&A IT architecture; partner with IT colleagues to ensure system changes support data and architectural designs
  • Author and refine business process diagrams including interdependencies with other systems
  • Perform, develop and maintain training material, including but not limited to SOPs, Guidelines and class training material
  • Support internal/external audits as related to SOX Compliance and internal controls
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with G&A stakeholders, internal technology teams and external technology vendors.
  • Ensure proper implementation of standards, policies and systems platforms
  • Identify and communicate risks, and propose and implement appropriate action
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiency
  • Contribute to the success of the business and assist in improving the overall customer experience within the team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Business Administration or an equivalent level of education and comparable experience
  • 6+ years of experience with systems development and working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Supply Chain solutions
  • 3-4 years of professional experience supporting a Finance/Accounting organization
  • Hands-on experience supporting Tier 1 ERP system (Oracle NetSuite)
  • Experience building and testing integrations with NetSuite and Tableau preferred
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL coding
  • Strong background in Agile software development methodology is preferred
  • Experience ensuring compliance to SOX requirements, GxP compliance and validation processes and procedures
  • Strong vendor management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a small, fast-paced IT team
  • Highly motivated with the ability to drive results
  • Ability to distill technical concepts and present to a non-technical audience
  • Accuracy and responsibility, ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to occasionally work after hours
  • Excellent time management, communication, written and customer service skills
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and decision-making skills
