Regeneron's Formulation Development Group (FDG), located in Tarrytown, NY is seeking a R&D specialist as we drive vital research on protein formulation, stability and characterization, and develop new formulation and drug delivery technologies. In this exciting role, you will help drive formulation and manufacturing process development at all stages of our product development and commercialization for different drug product modalities.

A Day in the Role of R&D Specialist Might Look Like:

  • Lead and participates in formulation and drug product development of antibodies and other biologics, including candidate screening and selection, developing lyophilized or liquid formulations for all phases of pre-clinical, clinical and commercial development, and life cycle management.
  • Establish physicochemical knowledge base of therapeutic drug candidates and applies it to identify critical quality attributes for formulation and drug product development.
  • Develop fit-for-purpose analytical methods to support biophysical characterization, formulation and process development, and research stability testing.
  • Design, implement, and document experiments to support stability testing of therapeutic protein molecules.
  • Contribute to formulation development technical reports to support the process development, technology transfer and manufacturing of clinical drug substances and drug products.
  • Present work at group, department and cross functional meetings.
  • Participate in general lab and instrument maintenance.

You may be qualified for this role if:

This role requires a Master or Bachelor in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with at least (MS +3/BS +5) years of relevant working experience. The experience should include EITHER work with protein/peptide chemistry OR Hands-on experience with applying chromatographic (HPLC, UPLC, column chromatography), capillary electrophoresis (CE-SDS, MCE, cIEF) and/or biophysical techniques (UV-vis, DLS, CD, FTIR, DSC) for protein characterization. We are willing to train either the skills or the context!

Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills are required.
