Gilead's Corporate Accounting Advisory and Reporting team which has responsibility for Technical Accounting, External Financial Reporting and SOX, is looking for a strong player that wants to grow his/her knowledge and skills across our teams. We are seeking an outstanding candidate who is intellectually curious and has a broad interest in learning and working on these unique and complex areas.

This role offers a very good opportunity for team members to transition from public accounting and gain in-depth knowledge over the pharmaceutical industry, overall accounting processes, and complex accounting areas.

The initial role will focus on the SOX Risk and Compliance team that is part of the broader Controllership group.

Skills, competencies, experience requirements include:

  • Bachelor's Degree qualified in business, accounting or finance with 8 + years of relevant work experience, ideally a combination public accounting firm and experience in the Controllership function of a public company or a Master's Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Subject matter expertise in SOX and US GAAP standards
  • Success in leading process improvements and positively influencing change
  • Experience building strong partnerships with key stakeholders across various functions
  • CPA preferred
