Seeking a Senior Research Associate for the R&D IVD product development team to contribute to the development, optimization and validation of assays for post diagnostics cancer analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and execution of experiments and data analysis with the mentorship of senior scientists. The ideal candidate is a meticulous, strong teammate with experience in nucleic acid assay development, next generation sequencing workflow and record keeping. Experience working on regulated products and under design control is important. The individual will enjoy working in the lab and have a desire to learn about developing products in a regulated environment. Experience with IVD/CDx development will be a plus for this role.
You will:
  • Develop experiment plans to support study objectives
  • Test and optimize custom protocols
  • Successfully complete R&D experiments to generate high quality data
  • Document experimental details and results and perform preliminary data analysis
  • Present data in technical meetings and assist in writing study protocols and reports
  • Ensure laboratory activities are performed in compliance with best practices for assay and instrument operation, safety, and result documentation

Your background and qualification will include:
  • B.A, B.S. or M.S. degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or relevant fields
  • Minimum 4 years of industry or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with NGS workflows
  • Proficient with molecular biology laboratory techniques
  • Experience in product development in a regulated environment
  • IVD/CDx development experience preferred.
  • Attention to detail, safety, good laboratory practice, and good documentation practice
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and willingness to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Flexibility with change and willingness to find solutions
