What You Will Achieve

The Patient Product and Solution Delivery Leader is accountable for the continuous delivery of innovative global patient and caregiver-facing digital experiences including application software development delivery for an entire product area through programs and initiatives. 

The Product and Solution Delivery Lead is responsible for leading the management and agile delivery of programs and experiences directly supporting goals and objectives for global, regional and local Patient and Caregiver-facing digital solutions.  They are accountable for the delivery and execution of all relevant projects and enhancements for a global portfolio of solutions across all Pfizer business units.  These experiences include web-based, mobile and connected health products and solutions.

As a Product and Solution Delivery lead, your innovative ideas and creative decision-making lead the strategic direction for this capability. Your ability to leverage constructive relationships across divisions will help you maximize the resources available within the organization. Your ability to exercise foresight and judgment in initiating, planning, organizing and guiding complex projects in unprecedented situations shall be critical to the achievement to the division.

How You Will Achieve It
  • Leads strategic direction for this global Product capability with a strong focus on agile delivery across a global portfolio of patient focused initiatives. This includes business performance and financial management for highly complex continuous delivery activities supporting the Digital business unit’s efforts globally. 
  • Develops and delivers solutions to highly complex and unique problems in the global Patient and Caregiver landscape, both as an individual and as a member of a leadership team and is accountable for decisions within the Digital Business Unit. 
  • Oversees and manages people, technological and financial resources while leveraging deep technical and functional expertise for all products and relevant solution areas, and manages significant Digital and Business Unit resources outside of direct authority globally
  • Responsible to anticipate, oversee and influence an environment of continuous improvement and innovation while continuously delivering highly complex solutions in this Solution and Projects function.
  • Facilitate demand management and resource utilization decisions.
  • Ensure interim state stability while driving rapid synergy and business value attainment.
  • Develop and leverage resources to implement innovative ideas/processes/products taking appropriate risks to achieve desired results.
  • Manage support services provided including application support and maintenance, change management, configuration management, problem management, incident management, and lifecycle management.
  • Establish an environment where the Scrum team can be as effective as possible, addressing team dynamics, and ensuring a good relationship between the development team and product owner.
  • Focus on career development and talent planning by recruiting top talent and developing colleagues of all levels.

QualificationsMust-Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and 15+ years of related pharmaceutical or healthcare experience required; or 13+ years of experience with advanced degree preferred with progressive leadership growth.
  • 10+ years of experience in a leadership capacity with increasing scope of responsibility.
  • Demonstrated progressive experience successfully designing, delivering and maintaining Information Technology business solutions for mid to large-scale organizations across multiple hardware and software platforms
  • High proficiency and proven successful delivery of experiences using Agile development, especially scaled agile and lean, techniques and methodologies (Disciplined Agile, SAFe, etc.)
  • Proven experience and high level business knowledge and understanding of the external marketplace in order to anticipate Global Business Unit needs for patient and caregiver solutions
  • Proven ability to manage to financial goals, both in own area, and in support of a larger entity.
  • Ability to lead in a complex, matrix environment with indirect resources geographically distributed.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and to deliver effective presentations to a variety of audiences
  • Strong people management experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering or Technology Management preferred with related field and proven technical experience with emphasis on software development and maintenance.

  • Proven progressive experience as an Information Technology professional, preferably in a pharmaceutical industry

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Primarily computer-based work.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Travel will be required as part of this role.  Expectations around travel will vary but candidates must be capable of travel within the region, to other regions, and to Pfizer World Headquarters. Business Technology is a 7x24x365 endeavor.  This role may require physical or virtual participation on a weekend, holiday, or after normal business hours
