Associate Director, External Manufacturing Project Management

We are currently looking to fill an Associate Director, External Manufacturing Project Management position. Using extensive Project Management (PM) experience and solid understanding of External Manufacturing (EM), the Associate Director of External Manufacturing PM is responsible for providing leadership, direction and support to EM-PM teams. The Associate Director works with upper management to help set EM strategy and ensures that External Manufacturing projects align with the overall strategy. In addition, the Associate Director builds and maintains positive relationships with a wide variety of internal and external partners and ensures outstanding quality and timeliness of project results.

In this role, a typical day might include the following:

• Leads group that handles high-profile and critical manufacturing projects of strategic importance to Regeneron (Technical Transfers, Process Validation, new CMO selection, CapEx, and Continuous Improvement).

• Single point of contact for EM partners/CMOs as first point of escalation; acts as key EM-PM representative on joint governance committees.

• Leads multiple groups and priorities with excellent interpersonal and time management skills.

• Ensures teams and partners are aligned on one single External Manufacturing project plan.

• Facilitates contingency and risk mitigation planning and performs impact assessments for EM projects.

• Coordinates the development of the integrated project budgets, forecasts and timelines and is accountable to supervise progress against the approved baselines and manage project meaningful metrics.

• Ensures EM-PM teams are adequately supported and resourced appropriately.

• Responsible for leading, developing and mentoring team members.

• Leads a team(s) that may range from Specialist-level to Sr PM.

• Travels up to 25%.

To be considered for this role you must hold a BA/BS in a Physical or Biological Science and 10+ years of industry related experience, including prior pharmaceutical industry experience and 3 years of experience collaborating with CMOs/CROs. PMP certification or MBA a plus. May substitute proven experience for education requirement.
