ROLE SUMMARY

The LIMS Team Leader III is a member of the LIMS Team which is part of the Andover site Technical Services (STS) organization in PGS Andover. The LIMS team provides local support on Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) implementation, integration, usage, and deployment at the PGS Andover location.

The incumbent will serve as local LIMS technical expert responsible for configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting LIMS at a local level. In addition, the incumbent will liaise and collaborate with other site functional areas and teams across the Pfizer network to troubleshoot and improve LIMS related services at the local level.

 

As a senior member of the site LIMS team, the incumbent is responsible for forming and leading cross-functional teams executing projects focusing on, but not limited to, the application of LIMS in support of:

  • New Product Introduction
  • Product Launch, and technology transfer effort
  • Continuous improvement of production and testing of products manufactured at PGS Andover and the associated performance metrics
  • LIMS contribution to informatics and manufacturing intelligence
  • Harmonization of local LIMS implementation and practices with broader Pfizer network
  • Local deployment of new LIMS functionality or systems

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Subject matter expert on LIMS responsible for maintaining and improving LIMS services at PGS Andover
  • Form and lead cross-functional teams to introduce, improve, and troubleshoot LIMS services and associated business processes in PGS Andover
  • Lead effort within the STS LIMS team to implement, improve, or harmonize LIMS standards, practices, and business process
  • Technical oversight and review to ensure configuration standards, data integrity and compliance standards are followed
  • Support LIMS configuration and procedural changes that enhance safety, compliance, and overall operational efficiency
  • Coordinate with customers and peers to develop achievable work plans for the defined scope of LIMS objects
  • Customer management and issue escalation
  • Oversee contingent workers supporting LIMS related projects and effort

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in science (Computer Science preferred) or related field with 8+ years of industry experience
  • Experience working with a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) in a commercially regulated setting

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in a hands-on technical role as business analyst, quality analyst, or product owner on technology development projects, e.g., supporting systems development, systems implementation, or similar experience.
  • Technical experience (at least one of the following) Coding (e.g. VBA, SQL), database management, or other relevant technical experience
  • cGMP Experience
  • Experience managing projects and leading teams
  

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Position is primarily office work. Requires walking, standing, sitting and light lifting (office supplies/reem of paper, etc.).
