What You Will Achieve

Working with a dynamic team of Logistics and Supply Chain experts, you will play a critical role in the activities involved with the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production or any other department. Your role would include planning, developing material requirements, scheduling, and managing material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and Production or R&D.

As a Senior Associate, your knowledge and skills will contribute towards the goals and objectives of the team. Your ability to meet team targets will help in completing critical deliverables on time. Your innovative use of tools and techniques will facilitate as you manage communication between different teams will help in solving difficult issues and establishing consensus.

How You Will Achieve It
  • Manage the procurement and contract management processes in assisting production, development and support groups in the sourcing of production materials and components that are used in manufacturing or development operations, and for the Sanford facility

  • Work from customer/supplier specifications in the sourcing of raw materials, packaging and production inventory items for new products

  • ·Coordinate purchasing activities for the implementation of new products/processes and associated purchased material requirements.

  • Maintain timely and accurate knowledge of purchasing expenditures and supplier information for all production and research new material purchases for the site.  This includes all Development and Operations areas.

  • Issue accurate reports and recommendations for site management’s appraisal of operations performance, for use in trend analysis, and to strengthen the company’s economic position in maintaining and negotiating new sources of supply and cost savings opportunities.

  • Documenting material requirements, forecasting quantities with time lines, and ensuing adequate supplies in support of clinical manufacturing.  Prepare draft BOMs and work with site supply management in preparation for material enrollment.

  • Perform sourcing analysis working with procurement

  • Provides demand in order for buyer(s) to create purchase orders for materials, works with the warehouse on storage requirements (e.g., capacity analysis), and arranges for contract storage if required. 

  • Track procurement and enrollment of material per Clinical Manufacturing program needs.

  • Manage supplier development efforts where critical to site needs

  • Lead efforts to implement new or alternative materials and specifications with existing suppliers; facilitate timeliness of change control process

  • Prepare required reports as to progress, order status, activity, department budgeted forecasts, and miscellaneous projects related to operations and controls​ Provide services that include expediting high priority initiatives and tasks with cross functional efforts, project management, and general coordination of efforts

  • Properly identify raw materials required to fill raw material request from Clinical Operations

  • Assess the appropriate container configurations required to fill requests for raw materials.

  • Assure materials chosen are correct, in accurate quantities, QA released, and within required expiration dating.

  • Work closely with buying team and the warehouse management on any capacity constraints and storage issues and work through to resolution

  • Support the site with material enrollments by verifying timeline requirements with requestors.

  • Perform inventory assessments for supplier change notifications.

  • Provide assistance as required with Supply Chain Surveys, master data, and building supply channels.

Qualifications

Must-Have
  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 4+ years’ experience

  • Experience with inventory management concepts

  • Experience with ERP/SAP systems and forecasting of pharmaceutical materials

  • Experience and or knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)

  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Microsoft Office knowledge,especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Nice-to-Have
  • Relevant pharmaceutical experience.

  • CPIM, CSCP. or related inventory/supply chain certification
