Regeneron is currently looking for an Analytical Specialist with a 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm schedule. This position is part of our Quality Control Analytical Sciences Bioassay Development team. In this position you will perform in vitro experiments for potency assay development and characterization of preclinical and clinical drug candidates in Regeneron’s pipeline. 

This position will be responsible for development, qualification, transfer, and troubleshooting of cell-based and ELISA assays utilized by QC testing groups. In this fast-paced collaborative environment, Sr. Analytical Specialists have the opportunity to develop scientifically and also gain insight into other areas of the business.

           

As a Sr. Analytical Specialist, a typical day might include the following:

  • Mammalian cell culture
  • Cell-based reporter assays
  • ELISA binding assays
  • Record data in a lab notebook or electronic database in an accurate and timely manner
  • Present data within and outside the group clearly and concisely
  • Work cross-functionally to bring new assays into the group from research partners
  • Plan and execute assay development experiments, including proper controls
  • Utilize statistical Design of Experiments (DOE) tools to streamline assay development and improve robustness
  • Perform statistical analysis of data to understand trends, characterize performance, and identify next steps in assay development
  • Work closely with clinical and commercial testing groups to support assay transfer and troubleshooting
  • Draft and implement assay qualification and assay transfer protocols
  • Author technical reports to summarize development and assay qualification studies
  • Identify and evaluate new technology to maintain cutting edge potency assays across the site

This role might be for you if you:

  • Have development experience in cell-based potency assays or ELISAs.
  • Have experience with developing and troubleshooting potency assays for testing in a GMP environment.
  • Enjoy developing novel potency assays across many therapeutic areas, often with little initial guidance.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and you have the ability to balance multiple projects, prioritize them and execute them, while excelling at keeping all impacted parties well advised
  • Can take on new and sometimes ambiguous challenges and learn quickly.
  • Are able to work in a team environment but can also take independent ownership of large technical reports and projects and drive them to completion.
  • Develop and drive scientific and/or business-related improvement ideas.
  • Enjoy statistical analysis of data sets to support project decisions.
  • Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Softmax Pro, and JMP.

To be considered for the Sr. Analytical Specialist position you must be willing and able to work Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm. For the various levels you must have the following:

Analytical Specialist: BS/BA in Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology or related field; Cell Biology, Biology or Biochemistry and 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Senior Analytical Specialist I: BS/BA in Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology or related field; Cell Biology, Biology or Biochemistry and 4+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience with binding assays, cell- based potency assays and plate-based ELISA preferred. Level is determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.
