General Scope and Summary

The Data and Analytics Team sits in the Digital and Enterprise Capabilities Group and is responsible for driving the strategy, implementation, and delivery of data, analytics and automation capabilities across the Sage enterprise. This central team will deliver “Next-Gen Value” by establishing core Data and Analytics capabilities needed to effectively manage and exploit data as an enterprise asset.

The Manager, Integration & Digital Process Automation is an individual contributor role and will be responsible for implementing and supporting integration, business process management, and robotic process automation capabilities which will enable teams across Sage accelerate its digital journey.  

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Integrations and API Management: Responsible for implementing integrations and API management use cases.

  • Digital Process Automation (DPA) Platform Implementations: Responsible for implementing core enterprise DPA capabilities like BPM, RPA, OCR capabilities, etc.

  • Architecture and Design: Create architecture and design documents for integration, DPA platform implementations, and data capabilities needed for cross-functional projects.

  • Proof of Concept: As an individual contributor, responsible for showcasing quick wins through POCs.

  • Project Delivery/Delivery Oversight: As appropriate, this role will be part of the delivery team for projects. This includes the willingness and capability to dive in and engineer solutions personally if needed.

  • Functional/Business Stakeholders: Engage with stakeholders to solicit requirements, understand needs, align technology solutions, and assist in the analytic/science enablement of each team’s respective broader strategy.

  • Engineering Staff:  Provide technical leadership and direction-setting/guidance for external vendors.

Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills 

Must thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient. Must have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to understand stakeholder pain points, and the ability to analyze complex issues to develop relevant and realistic solutions and recommendations. Must have a demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action, excellent technical skills, and an ability to communicate complex issues in a simple way and to orchestrate solutions to resolve issues and mitigate risks. 

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 5+ years of experience in business process management (BPM), robotic process automation (RPA), or related technologies.

  • Deep experience with integration tools such as Boomi, Informatica, Talend, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree preferred.

  • Strong experience with API management platforms.

  • Deep technical and domain knowledge related to DPA platforms like UiPath, Power Automate, Power Apps, ServiceNow, etc.

  • Architectural and implementation expertise across the BPM, RPA, and OCR design principles.

  • Experience with next generation automation concepts, including Integrations, workflow management, visualization, advanced analytics, cloud analytics, artificial intelligence, and/or machine learning.

  • Experience in application integration for BPM use cases.

  • Experience, exposure, and knowledge of primary cloud provider offerings, architectures, and their DPA capabilities (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Experience with data ingestion/processing languages like Python and SQL.

  • Automation-related advanced technical certifications and/or degrees preferred; awareness of regulatory impacts to data in the Life Sciences business, such as GxP.

  • Ability to deliver fast, show quick wins, and have the big picture in mind.

  • Ability to work with external vendors and hold them accountable.

  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make quick decisions.

  • Ability to deliver in fast-paced environment with attention to detail and execution focus. 

  • Ability to work individually, within a cross-functional team, as well as with external partners and vendors.
