General Scope and Summary

Sage Therapeutics is searching for a creative, resourceful, integrative thinker for our Talent Acquisition Coordinator Consultant.  The TA Coordinator will perform a key role in supporting the Talent Acquisition and People Operations teams and more specifically, the Candidate Experience. You will be a critical part of the team’s success! 

The ideal candidate will provide administrative support to the Talent Acquisition and People Operations teams by working closely with internal/external candidates, external recruiters and other cross-functional professionals in support of the organizations hiring needs. This position will also be responsible for managing the flow of candidates through the recruitment process, including but not limited to posting job opportunities on ancillary sites, updating and tracking of pre-employment data, data reporting and project related work. This position requires a high level of organizational skills, professionalism and collaboration. It is essential for this role to deliver exceptional customer service.  This role will last for up to 6 months, with the possibility to extend.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and Schedule phone, video and in-person interviews (Sage is currently conducting all interviews remotely via Zoom)

  • Participate in creating a great virtual candidate experience throughout the recruitment process

  • Manage the background check initiation process and track status of all screenings.

  • Handle all onboarding paperwork including background checks and non-disclosure agreements.

  • Coordinate new hire orientations as needed and making sure all processes are compliant Posting positions to all job boards and online platforms.

  • Coordinate with appropriate departments to facilitate onboarding process, including Finance, Facilities and IT.

  • Ensure all paperwork and processes are completed in a timely manner.

  • Create new hire records electronically within the HRIS.

  • May assist Benefits team with administration of health & welfare benefits by conducting audits, researching new benefits, and answering general questions related to employee benefits.

  • Maintain departmental process documents and forms.

  • Assist P&E team with special projects and system implementations.

Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills

Must thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient.  Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to develop important relationships with key stakeholders, ability to analyze issues to develop relevant and realistic plans, and recommendations.  Excellent analytical skills and an ability to communicate complex issues in a simple way and to orchestrate plans to resolve issues and mitigate risks.

  • Associates degree required

  • Two (2) or more years experience in Human Resources field with emphasis on Recruitment strongly preferred

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Aptitude and interest in HR systems, including Workday experience is considered a plus.

  • Interest in administrative and operational aspects of onboarding employees

  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

  • Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, strong analytical skills, and high level of attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure to prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization as well as with external partners and vendors.

  • Strong team player that has a customer service approach and is solution oriented.
