The Team You’ll Join 

As a Senior/Associate Director Drug Development Project Manager at Recursion you will be a key member of the Project Management team.  The Project Management team is a group of execution-minded professionals focused on driving the advancement of our drug portfolio in order to get impactful medicines to patients that need them.  Our desire to make a difference and contribute to our mission of radically improving lives drives everything we do.  You will make significant contributions to the clinical development portfolio, and play a key role in the strategic planning for all clinical programs by working cross-functionally to plan, organize, and risk mitigate our clinical programs to ensure successful delivery.

The Impact You’ll Make

  • Collaborate with project leaders and cross-functional project teams to develop, execute, and drive our drug discovery and development efforts for assigned projects/programs to completion within timeline, quality and budgetary constraints.
  • Develop and manage timelines to support specific product candidates through the discovery and development phases
  • Monitor project progress against baseline  and follow up as needed with individuals across the company to ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
  • Communicate status of projects to team members, management, and leadership effectively and efficiently. Fully integrate with project teams in order to lead the planning, tracking, risk monitoring and mitigation associated with the timing and budget for each development program. 
  • Create cross-functionally integrated project/program plans, timelines, agendas, budget, resourcing requirements, rolling summaries and other tools required to organize planning and coordinating of deliverables for the project/program. 
  • Contribute to the advancement of the Recursion discovery and development portfolio.   

The Experience You’ll Need

  • 5+ years (Senior) or 7+ years (Associate Director)  project/program management experience in the pharmaceutical industry focused on drug development BS in a related field.  PhD or MBA preferred.  PMP certification (or equivalent) preferred
  • Proven track record of success in leading and managing complex projects.  Ability to deliver on quality, scope, timelines and budget
  • Managing project teams, communications, risk, scope, schedule, cost, quality and stakeholders to effectively ensure that variance from plan is proactively and effectively mitigated and corporate expectations are met
  • Implement strategic level objectives into tactical plans. Working knowledge of drug development across functional areas. 
  • Ensure alignment of product value proposition, program scope and strategic business development
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences and work in a highly matrixed organization 
  • Serve as an escalation point for project issues to key stakeholders, as appropriate. Proactively identify and resolve conflicts as needed
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project and Asana
