ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are in search of top product management talent to help us meet our important goals and large growth plans here in the U.S. As a Product Manager at Eyevance, a Santen company, you will serve as the brand champion and define the product strategy for the promotion of FLAREX. As a member of our marketing department, you will collaborate with cross-functional team members in market access, professional relations, training and development, our ophthalmic sales force, and other areas within the organization to implement tactical plans and projects.

Reporting to our Vice President of Marketing, the Product Manager, FLAREX (U.S.) will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Being the brand champion for FLAREX in the U.S.
  • Improving upon the brand strategy for ocular surface inflammation associated with dry eye, facilitating the ongoing promotional campaign, and developing and supporting the FY 2022 brand strategy and tactical plan 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY DELIVERABLES:

  • Accountable for the product performance and the monitoring of the external environment and the ongoing analysis of the agreed tactical plans to ensure the positioning and growth of FLAREX
  • Develops product strategy, messaging, advertising, public relations, and social media campaigns to create a positive image in the U.S. market in support of FLAREX’s strategic objectives
  • Establishes relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), establishes physician advisory boards and participates in industry organizations to maintain awareness of market trends
  • Continually refine brand positioning and marketing messages to execute effective campaigns to drive competitive differentiation
  • Partner with medical affairs, regulatory, sales training and commercial analytics to align on strategic deliverables.
  • Manage agency partners and vendors in overseeing the development of core sales materials, tools and resources for effective communication with physicians and eye care professionals.
  • Spearhead the development of novel promotional and speaker bureau activities in line with internal compliance guidelines 
  • Identify area market insights and opportunity via monthly interactions with leading thought leaders within eyecare, and consultants in ophthalmology and optometry
  • Lead market research programs & market insights for FLAREX and monitor/anticipate market development
  • Monitor and control brand budgets, forecasts and expenses and assess the marketing mix of the product to evaluate cost effectiveness and results.
  • Advise ophthalmic sales force on regional- and local-initiated marketing activities

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in the life sciences, pharmacy, marketing or marketing communications, management, or other related business discipline highly preferred and/or combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 5-7+ years of healthcare, pharmaceutical or related product marketing or marketing communications commercial experience and/or leadership experience (pharmaceutical sales experience highly desired, but not required)
  • Minimum 3 years of ophthalmology pharmaceutical experience preferred
  • Able to understand changing dynamics of pharmaceutical industry
  • Proficient and fluent in English (spoken and written), with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be a digital native and possess documented social media marketing acumen
  • 25% travel expected to trade shows and for field rides with ophthalmic territory managers
