Lets do this! Lets change the world!
Amgen is seeking an entry level Associate to execute a variety of production and technology related operations in the Upstream area of a large-scale pilot plant. The Pilot Plant performs bioprocessing operations for multiple mammalian and microbial products to develop and generate data for production processes. The plant performs upstream and downstream activities (cell culture and purification), from vial thaw through drug substance, and delivers pre-pivotal GMP and non-GMP material to support process development of early and late-stage biologic molecules. In addition, the plant prototypes and develops new technologies to support advancement of Amgens equipment and operations for current and future biologic facilities.
This Upstream Associate will perform hands-on operation of current and future equipment and processes. The upstream equipment typically includes stainless steel and single-use bioreactor systems. In addition, the applicant may perform new product introductions, technology transfer, experiment design, equipment set-up and cleaning, equipment commissioning, and participate in equipment design. A significant amount of time will be spent performing hands-on work in the plant: executing upstream production runs, experiments, and characterization efforts; defining and documenting operational practices; ensuring documentation accurately reflects operations performed; implementing area improvements; commissioning equipment; participating in operations meetings.
Shift may include nights and/or weekends.Win
