The Manager/ Senior Manager, Channel Ecosystem is a role within the Global Digital Transformation team who is responsible for leading the implementation and adoption of AbbVie’s channel ecosystem across brands and affiliates. The Manager/ Senior Manager is the champion for enhancing the capabilities within our core digital channels, such as websites and email, and also for integrating new channels into the ecosystem. This role requires an individual with strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and in-depth experience in executional digital marketing. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter who thrives on tackling new challenges with a pragmatic approach and global mindset. The successful candidate must be willing to actively engage in day-to-day operations while maintaining a strategic view of our omni-channel approach and the channel capabilities required to enable our future model.

  • Drive the activation and utilization of core channels across all affiliates and brands
    • Leading channel implementation in collaboration with the BTS to ensure a good adoption and utilization within affiliates
    • Ensure continuous feedback and best practice sharing in order to create optimal user experience and ensure highest adoption levels
    • Work with assigned brand teams to integrate channel capabilities into their functional brand plans, understand where to bring highest business impact
    • Drive channel guidance, standards & operating models to ensure consistent usage of channels and data capture
    • Working with channel measurement and analytics team, analyze channel performance in order to identify improvement opportunities to drive optimal customer experience
  • Lead the evolution of current and emerging channel capabilities
    • Serve as business lead for website and email channels in order to develop and define the channel roadmap and strategy
    • Stay up to date about latest digital technologies and customer trends to identify new and emerging channels/ capabilities to integrate into our existing digital ecosystem
    • Work with Global / Area Brand teams and, key Affiliate teams on priority initiatives/ pilots to identify and execute on long term channel roadmap.
    • Collaborate closely within Digital Transformation and Winning with Data teams, as well as Global BTS team to ensure pilot initiatives provide the best possible opportunities for success and if appropriate, scalability to other brand teams and affiliates.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital marketing, digital project management or related areas, with deep understanding of web and email channels operational processes
  • Experience managing SEO/SEM, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns. Experience in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment preferred but not required.
  • Awareness and extensive knowledge across all relevant digital channels within the MCM ecosystem, trends, and opportunities
  • Skills in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Adobe Experience Manager (or similar marketing and content management platforms) preferred, but not required.
  • Understanding and practical experience in using analytics to optimize multichannel campaigns, as well as to identify and create new multichannel opportunities
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive quality decisions and outcomes through relationship building and influencing without authority
  • Excellent communication (oral, written, interpersonal, and presentation) skills in English
  • Excellent project management and creative problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding and knowledge of pharmaceutical promotion guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Strong achievement orientation and innovation mindset
  • Self-motivated individual with a strong bias for action and ability to adapt quickly to new or ambiguous situations
  • Undergraduate Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. Advanced Degree preferred
  • Global / Multi-national experience with complex stakeholder interests a plus
