Job Summary
As a highly motivated analytical biochemist you will provide bioanalytical expertise in vaccine development. You would be responsible to develop biochemical/biophysical analytical assays to characterize vaccine candidates, eg. mRNA/lipid nanoparticle vaccines and adjuvanted protein vaccines and correlate vaccine in vitro biophysical attributes with in vivo functionality to support vaccine development.
Major Responsibilities
Develop biophysical/chemical analytical methods for characterization of large molecules and particles
- Identify and develop biochemical/biophysical analytical assays, eg. HPLC/UPLC/light scattering/fluorometry, for characterization of large molecules and particles
- Collaborate across the research and support the vaccine process developments with analytical tools
Qualify and perform biophysical/chemical analytical assays
- Qualify and perform assays supporting for pre-clinical studies
- Tech transfer analytical assays to Technical Development
Documentation and presentation of scientific results.
- Compose and revise experimental protocols and prepare internal technical reports. Maintain lab notebooks.
- Present research results internally and at scientific conferences. Ccontribute to technical advancements and publications
- Collaborate with cross-functional project teams, stakeholders and external collaborators.
Lab management.
- Maintain functional laboratory equipment and follow HSE regulation.
Minimum Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical engineering or related biochemical field.
- Ph.D. with 0-3 years of academic or pharmaceutical/biotech experience in analytical biochemistry.
- Strong experience with chromatography techniques HPLC/UPLC (RP, IEX, HIC, SEC, CSP) is required Desire to work under a collaborative and fast pace environment is required
- Organizational, written and oral communication skills and ability to work in teams is required
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with light scattering techniques is preferred
- Strong Experience with larger molecules and particles is required. Experience with mRNA and lipid nanoparticle characterization is desired
- Experience with data analysis software and statistical analysis such as MATLAB/python is favored
