Job Description

The Director, Customer Marketing oversees, develops and implements the organization’s customer marketing strategy, implementation roadmap and customer experience brand. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing and customer experience strategies across the flu ecosystem and all customer segments. The Director, Customer Marketing and their team will identify and recommend relevant programs and tactics as part of an integrated multi-channel strategy designed to create meaningful and differentiated engagements and materials for various customer types/business segments including: IDNs, Group Purchasing Organizations; Physician Buying Groups; Retail, Public (including Vaccines for Children), and associated professional societies.

This individual will work closely with their cross-functional partners (sales, product marketing, market access, customer operations, medical affairs, policy and government affairs, Commercial I&T, legal and compliance as well as external agency partners) to develop and design strategies, programs, tactics and platforms for specific channels and individual customers based on known and unknown needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy: Provides oversight and orchestrates across multiple cross-functional stakeholders to build and continuously optimize a best-in-class experience Seqirus delivers to its customers. Applies logic and creativity to craft learning and research plans to assess specific customer mindset. Drives the strategy across all functions and ensures customer-centric approach is applied across all stakeholder groups. Spearheads customer experience (CX) steering committee engagement to ensure alignment. Acts as the internal champion of CX across the enterprise.

  • Identify priority groups and attitudinal drivers within each channel in ways that are actionable for the business: Collaborate with direct reports to develop a deep expert understanding of barriers, opportunities, trends, and insights to translate brand strategy into compelling and tailored channel strategies. Analyze market data, trends, customer preferences, and competitor behavior to optimize marketing programs and tactics within each channel. Develop a communications strategy and cross-functional activity plan for target segments/customers.

  • Develop and drive customer journey roadmaps: Collaborates with direct reports, key stakeholders, agency partners to develop customer journeys to identify pain points to determine new and appropriate customer marketing plans and programs. Works with sales, customer operations, commercial IT and other stakeholders to bring strategies and journeys to life.

  • Flu Season Leader: In collaboration with direct reports, key stakeholders, and agency partners ensures appropriate seasonally readiness and comprehensive needs for all customer channels are developed and met, including leading and driving a plan for talking points.  Responsible for building and leading a lean, high performing team.

  • Brand: Is a champion and steward for the CX brand – flu360. Collaborates with direct reports, product marketing, sales agency partners, and key stakeholders to advance the brand – applying fundamentals to multiple communication touchpoints and provide business and immunization solutions along the customer journey. Evangelizes the vision for the Flu360 brand within the organization and rallies cross-functional partners behind that vision.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, collaborate across a matrixed organization and drive outstanding commercial results through effective customer/channel strategies.

  • Strategic and innovative thinker.

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly grasp and act on complex and multi-dimensional issues that have the potential to impact Seqirus.

  • Established understanding of the healthcare landscape and the players within

  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills with the ability to effectively represent and speak on behalf of Seqirus in high level customer meetings

  • Proven ability to build and inspire lean, high-performing teams and to identify and cultivate talent.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree in business/marketing, life sciences or healthcare discipline; MBA or other graduate degree preferred

  • 10+ years' sales and marketing experience in pharmaceutical/ biotech or relevant industry

  • Experience in specific healthcare channels such as IDN and Retail is preferred

  • Experience leading and managing teams by direct management and/or influence management

  • 25% domestic travel
