We are seeking a Change & Release Manager who is a highly talented person to lead the design, develop, and implement process and workflow to support the business and service teams.  You will have prior experience implementing and deploying the change and release management function within the ServiceNow platform. We have responsibility for implementing and measuring the Change process, as well as ensuring adherence, accuracy and improvement.

In this role, a typical day might include the following:

  • Establish, maintain, and operationalize the process for Change and Release Management.
  • Ensure the production environment is protected by a rigorous Change and Release Management process.
  • Ensure standardized process and procedures are used for efficient handling of changes to minimize incidents due to change.
  • Circulate in-scope Requests for Change (RFCs/CMs) to CAB members in advance of meeting to allow prior consideration/review.
  • Use methods and tools used for risk assessment and mitigation of risks.
  • Improve the CMDB data and relationship mapping for the Change impact analysis.
  • Automate the process based on industry standards and Service-Now guidelines.
  • Bring in innovation on automating of the process design.
  • Maintain the IT Change Calendar that comprises of forward schedule of all changes.
  • Participate in upfront release planning to understand the roadmap, strategy, priority and potential conflicts related to the planned release.
  • Plan and maintain a Release Calendar for the in-scope systems, and provide proactive communications and general calendar transparency to engaged parties.
  • Review release acceptance criteria prior to testing.
  • Provide management status updates on release progress.
  • Proactively communicate release to Production plans to avoid conflicts.
  • Drive Production Readiness or Go / No-Go decisions.
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor Change and Release progresses.
  • Create actionable deliverables in preparation for service transition from project to operations.
  • Highlight risk & issues to management.
  • Experience building and managing relationships in a matrixed environment
  • Audit and manage the Change and Release Management process improvement cycle.
  • Consult and coach project teams.
  • Train Regeneron and MSP member IT associates on Change and Release processes.

To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's Degree in computer science (or equivalent) and 5-7 years in Change and Release Management acting as a lead or manager in an operations centric environment. Working knowledge of Configuration, Incident, Request, and Problem management standards and methodologies. Strong understanding of service management principles. Strong knowledge of SDLC processes involving multiple engineering efforts. Strong Excel reporting skills. Prior experience working in a large, highly regulated and compliance-focused environment. Understanding in the full technology stack such as IT Infrastructure, Virtualization, Security, App/Dev, Cloud Models and Technological Change. Understanding with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps practices. Familiarity with ITSM tools and Service-Now is a plus. ITIL v3 Foundations required / ITIL v3 Practitioner preferred.
