Job Details

Regeneron's Therapeutic Antibodies group, within our Therapeutic Proteins department, is seeking a Sr Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will carry out label-free quantitative analysis of macromolecular interaction for therapeutic monoclonal antibodies development programs. 

A Typical Day in the Role of Sr. R&D Specialist Might Look Like:


•Characterizing a wide of protein/protein or protein/small molecule interaction using Biacore and complementary label-free real-time technologies for protein reagents validation, up stream antibody screening and late stage therapeutic antibody leads characterization.
•Perform routine biosensor (Biacore/Octet/Kinexa) based biomolecular interaction experiments, data analysis
•Maintain the operation of label free instruments.


This Role Might Be for You If:


•Ability to critically analyze and troubleshoot scientific problems.
•Good scientific initiative and ability to multi-task, prioritize work and handle multiple projects.
•Ability to work independently but also within a collaborative team environment and have flexibility to work on changing priorities.


This role requires a BS with 6+ yrs or a MS degree in a scientific field with 4+ yrs proven experience. Solid understanding in one or more of the following areas needed: structure biology, biophysics, and chemical biology. Knowledge and experience in using biophysical methodologies, such as Biacore, Octet, ITC to study protein/small molecule- protein interaction and binding kinetics preferred. Experience with in vitro molecular interaction/characterization using biosensor such as Biacore/Octet a plus. Good hands on experience in protein chemistry such as protein purification(HPLC, FLPC, ion-exchange, affinity, size exclusion chromatography, and protein conjugation chemistry), protein analysis (SDS-PAGE, Western-blot, ELISA). Highly motivated and able to work productively in a fast-paced team environment. Excellent communication skills required.
