Job Description:

 This role is one of five end to Global Process Ownership (GBPO) roles, with accountability for shaping and continuously improving global cross company processes and ensuring that the Ipsen SAP S/4 solution and associated master data systems and analytics support this goal.  This GBPOs will shape longer term strategy for cross company processes and assume ultimate accountability for deliver of the strategy and associated release of value relevant to Ipsen strategic objectives over a 5-10 year period.

The particular role is specifically accountable for the end to end Concept to Product process, spanning R&D , Technical Operations , Commercial Operations and Global portfolio strategy.

The role is accountable for ensure that ERP (SAP) data is captured and made visible through appropriate reporting and analytics to enable

End to end management specific products (through provision of resource and financial data) Portfolio management and resource allocation across multiple products in research, development and commercial supply  (through planning tools as well as through provision of resource and financial data) Seamless management of relevant product technical data through the lifecycle .  In particular

data related to the CMC section of the regulatory submission and the transition to operations during new product launch.

Data related to planned to supply chain set up and appropriate stock provisioning during NPI

The role will enable Ipsen leaders to focus resource on the most valuable investment across the product portfolio (enablement of the asset centric model) and ensure that new product launches are seamlessly assuring ramp up of supply to match commercial demand.

Main responsibilities / job expectations

  • Interact  with stakeholder across Ipsen to shape overall cross company process , data and systems strategies(spanning R&D, Tech Ops , Comm Ops and Comm Ops and Global Portfolio Strategy).  Specifically lead shaping of strategies to
    • Enable the asset centric model through provision of relevant ERP sourced data and analytics to enable asset owners and portfolio managers to maximize value from resource allocation and track resource allocations decided upon
    • Enable seamless lifecycle management of product data, ensuring relevant data (especially CMC related data) is shared transparently across all stages in the lifecyle from product concept to mature product.
  • Take accountability for strategy execution by
    • Leading requirement definition , design, build , test and deployment for specific process, data and systems solutions to be established via the Polaris programme
    • Actively manage of portfolio of related projects outside of the Polaris scope but with dependencies of Polaris / Polaris business goals.
  • Establish, build, implement an end-to-end global process improvement methodology using Lean or other concepts or frameworks
    • Design, implement and monitor process performance goals and measures, identify improvement opportunities
    • Execute prioritized improvements. Partner and coordinate with other process owners and teams to ensure process, systems and data alignment

Knowledge, abilities & experience

Education/ Certifications

  • Preferred: Master's degree University/Pharma or MBA
  • Languages: Fluent in English, French would be a plus
  • Process Improvement Training (e.g.; Kaizen, Six Sigma, Lean, TQM, etc.) would be a plus
  • Black Belt would be a plus

Experience:

  • At least 10 to 15 years working experience in multinational Life Science companies
  • Relevant experience in at least one of and ideally two or more of :
    • Product development
    • CMC regulatory
    • Operations linked to R&D technical transfer / set up of new supply chains
    • Commercial cross functional strategy , including R&D interactions
  • Experience in SAP systems such as SAP Business Suite, SAP HANA, SAP Suite on HANA or equivalent.  Specifically knowledge and experience at least one of an ideally multiple of the following :
    • How SAP data support asset lifecyle management (via financial and business data)
    • How SAP integrates into end to end product lifecycle management (via product master data).
    • Integration of  project planning, portfolio management and financial reporting and tools (iProject/PPM etc)
  • Experience of working on major project or programme teams driving business transformation.
  • Experience of managing mixed teams of cross function resource including internal and partner resources (managing teams of 10+ people)
  • Familiarity with ERP concepts, processes, systems and tools

Languages:

  • Languages: Fluent in English, French would be a plus.

Key Technical Competencies Required

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical product development and new product launch processes
  • Knowledge of CMC regulatory and how this affect the approval, launch and ongoing supply of products
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and ability to build / develop network across the organization
  • Strong management by influence
  • Ability to federate & arbitrate
  • Ability to drive change and manage stakeholders
  • Strong skills in communication, negotiation, coordination and time management
