We are currently searching for an Anesthesiologist to provide support to the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This opportunity is a full-time position with MSC, and it is on-site in Bethesda, MD.  

 

 

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities
  • The anesthesiologist must specialize in airway management for infant and adult patients.  
  • Will provide assistance to patients undergoing surgery or diagnostic studies requiring sedation or anesthesia.
  • Will assist in responding to airway emergency codes and provide pre-anesthetic evaluation and preparation. 
  • May be involved in post-anesthesia rounds and care and any other relevant activities. 
  • OR coverage is not required. 
  • Shift Schedule: Monday-Sunday, 3:30 pm-7 am

 

Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine Degree (M.D.)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience post graduate training
  • Board Certification or eligibility in Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine or Anesthesia
  • Ability to obtain state medical license in all states where services are provided
  • Ability to obtain staff privileges at all the hospitals for which coverage is being provided.
  • Certified Pulmonary / Critical Care
  • Current ACLS certification.
