The Summer Intern will assist the purchasing team in the formulation and execution of raw material purchasing strategies, tracking raw material inventory levels, and meeting weekly with suppliers. This individual will also expedite and revise orders to meet the changing needs of the business. The Supply Chain Intern will be directly involved in maintaining data within the ERP system.

Responsibilities

  • Track raw materials from time of purchase to time of receipt.
  • Work within the Item Master and update via instruction from the Site Buyer/Planner.
  • Assist Warehouse team with any incoming receipt issues.
  • Other duties/projects as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in business. Supply Chain focus preferred.
  • Must be actively going into the junior or senior year of undergraduate program.
  • Must be enrolled in school the semester following the internship.
  • Advanced user of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • 3.0 GPA.
  • Must be able to routinely lift over 35 lbs.

 

The level of this position will be based on the final candidate's qualifications.
