Job Details
The Executive Director, Customer Insights is responsible for overseeing the Customer Insights and Competitive Intelligence teams. The individual will require a strong understanding of how and when to utilize specific market research methodologies to drive commercial strategy and brand planning and will be experienced in multi-faceted and strategic approaches that reveal the demographics, competitors and trends in marketplace(s). Experience pertaining to why customers behave in certain ways based on variables and factors, such as brand perception, and relevant marketing messages are crucial. A key competency required for this role is the ability to progress market research to deeper insights that can create new brand opportunities.
This role will also be responsible for the Competitive Intelligence team with key areas of focus pertaining to the strategies, programs, and capabilities of competitors in both pipeline and promoted product categories, as well as trends in competitor promotional strategies, pricing and intellectual property estate.
The ideal candidate will be able to integrate Customer Insights and Competitive Intelligence findings with analytics, to drive strategic decisions and generate value for Regeneron’s in-line and pipeline assets.
Required Experience:
- BA/BS required and a minimum of 15 years in Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or health care related industry with a minimum of 10 years in health care market research with specific experience in survey design, data analysis (including secondary data), managing suppliers, managing subordinates, presenting results, and recommending courses of action that are supported by research findings.
- Experience managing a team size of at least 10 FTEs
- Demonstrated success in using market research to inform and influence important business decisions, particularly in the area of new product launches.
- US and Global experience with new drug launch required.
- Experience managing other researchers required.
- Oversight of at least 2 therapy areas required
- Experience in biologic drugs including Oncology and Rheumatology or specialty pharmaceuticals
Preferred Experience
- PhD and MBA degrees desired but not required.
- Experience in multiple therapeutic areas.
- Alliance or co-promotion experience strongly.
- Experience on client and consulting side.
