Field Clinical Engineer / Medical Science Liaison (Neurology)

Neurona Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company based in South San Francisco focused on the development of cell-based therapies for neurological diseases. Responsibilities:

  • Contribute towards the development of effective processes for administering Neurona's cellular therapeutics (in collaboration with Neurona's Process and Preclinical teams).
  • Provide technical and scientific support as Neurona's representative at clinical sites during cell transplantation procedures (working in collaboration with surgical staff and clinical CROs).
  • Participate in the training and technology transfer of cell transplantation procedures to clinical sites.
  • Travel to clinical sites is required (approximately 5 working days a month).
  • Manage equipment and material inventories as needed throughout studies (in collaboration with Neurona's Quality team).
  • Understand SOPs, proactively report compliance concerns and adverse events, and contribute to continuous process improvement strategies (in collaboration with Neurona's Regulatory Affairs team).
  • Present data at team meetings. Generate scientific reports and contribute towards regulatory submissions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or a related field, or an advanced healthcare degree, or 5 years of comparable experience in the Pharmaceutical/Healthcare industry.
  • Excellent computer, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience working with cells or medical devices would be a plus.
