The Program Manager provides timeline and program management support to Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) for early biologics projects. The Program Manager will facilitate the advancement of assigned assets from Discovery to Early Development. The Program Manager will partner with project teams to create detailed timelines and will act as a cross-functional leader to drive and accelerate timelines from transfection to IND.

Significant biologics drug development experience within a scientific, operations, commercial, or project management capacity will be beneficial to success in this role. Experience in the CMC space is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creates, maintains, and drives acceleration of project timelines for biologics programs.
  • Provides Program Management (PM) support for the assigned project teams.

Detailed Responsibilities

  1. Creates, maintains, and drives acceleration of project timelines for biologics programs.
    • Works with project teams to create a detailed timeline using the accepted template and platform.
    • Proactively coordinates with the team to keep the timeline updated to reflect current thinking.
    • Creates scenario plans to support teams in planning.
    • Acts as an active partner to accelerate timelines wherever possible.
  2. Provides Program Management (PM) support for the assigned project teams.
    • Serves as a core member of the assigned biologics project teams.
    • Helps to ensure consistent approach to advancement of biologics programs from transfection to IND, across the portfolio.
    • Operates with a strategic, cross-functional mindset.
    • Partners with the Development Sciences Core Team leader to ensure good meeting practices (clear agendas and outcomes, open communication).
    • Contributes to project team discussions both from a PM functional perspective and a cross-functional, portfolio strategic perspective.
    • Partners with project information managers to ensure a smooth transition to full development timelines at Candidate Selection.



  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in a variety of roles in at least one role/functional area associated with drug development (research and development, commercial, project management, operations),
  • Experience within the Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Control (CMC) space is strongly preferred.
  • 4+ years in a cross-functional project / program management role.
  • Strong program management skills and knowledge of program management practices and common tools used in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and oral.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and leadership skills.
