The Impact You’ll Make

• Design and execute studies to investigate factors that impact HTS experiment success and relatability.
• Perform deep dives on detected executional artifacts and run CAPA processes to effectively address detected quality issues.
• Track and analyze ongoing inefficiencies and failure points in the HTS lab and collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement preventative actions.
• Perform risk analysis on changes to the HTS platform and lead change control process.

• Lead continuous quality improvements to the HTS lab in collaboration with the lab teams to increase experiment success, viability, and data quality.

The Team You’ll Join 

You’ll join the High Throughput Analytics & Controls team inside Recursion’s Core Operations Department. This team pulls together biologists, chemists, data scientists, software engineers and automation engineers to bring robust controls and analytics to our High Throughput Screening (HTS) platforms. With increased scale and complexity of the assays run on the HTS platform, we need to ensure that our assays are performing at a high success rate. That is where you come in. As a HTS Quality Research Associate (RA) you will lead continual improvements to the HTS platform, design and execute studies to test platform artifacts, and communicate your findings to the relevant teams. In this cross-functional role you will be interfacing with our lab operations team to continuously improve our insight generation and working alongside our Analytics & Controls team to bring robust solutions to the platform. 

The Experience You’ll Need

• Demonstrated ability to analyze and generate insights from data
• Proficiency and experience in molecular biology concepts and assays
• Understanding of the Investigation / CAPA process
• Attention to detail and willingness to track down and troubleshoot problems
• Comfortable working with computational tools - experience with programming techniques is a plus, e.g. Python, SQL, Splunk
• Experience working with automated computer-controlled laboratory instrumentation
• Bachelor’s degree or similar in a biological field
