ROLE SUMMARY

This position contributes to and supports Site Technical Services to bring technical expertise to the understanding, impact and implementation of raw materials and disposable technology/singe-use components to product supply and product quality.

The Associate Scientist/Engineer provides technical and logistical support for the introduction and lifecycle management of raw materials and single-use components used in the manufacturing process at the Andover biotech manufacturing site. The position may also entail support for product processes to implement improvements and support data gathering, analysis and troubleshooting

How You Will Achieve It
  • Under supervision by a more senior scientist/engineer and working closely with quality assurance/quality control, procurement, manufacturing and supply chain departments:

  • Support quality risk management on raw material and disposable applications 

  • Support Extractable and Leachable Risk Assessment effort for new products/new materials

  • Support RM/Disposable investigations 

  • Support RM/Disposable Change/Lifecycle Management activities 

  • Generate and Maintain material specifications 

  • Support Regulatory Submission and regulatory query response on RM/Disposable related contents

  • Support business process for material planning and technology transfer

  • Support for product processes to implement improvements and support data gathering, analysis and troubleshooting

Qualifications

Must-Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering discipline with 0-2 years’ work experience in science or engineering.

  • Knowledge and experience of requirements for Good Manufacturing Practices

  • Strong communication skills must be self-motivated and work with minimum direction

  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, meeting deadlines, and working well under pressure and in ambiguous situations

Nice-to-Have
  • Prior experience working in the Pharmaceutical industry

  • Direct experience related to raw materials, analytical methods and/or disposable technology.

  
 

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Perform complex data analysis for process analysis, troubleshooting or process improvement in-line with knowledge and expertise level.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
