ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, TALENT AND ORGANIZATION EFFECTIVENESS

Position Summary:

As part of a fully integrated HR team focused on driving One GBT, we are looking for an individual motivated to develop and help us continue designing and delivering an exceptional experience for our employees at GBT.  You will work closely with the HR Business Partners and HR Advisors to help define, refine and implement the talent and organizational development strategy — from onboarding, development, promotion, and living our cultural values. You'll also play a key role in supporting our future of work as we scale, bringing it to life across our global Company, and realizing the importance of meeting our key business results by 2025.  You are a values-driven leader who has experience with learning, talent management, organizational development, and employee experience and can help us take our culture and workplace environment to the next level. You will implement critical efforts at the heart of our culture and support the scaling of these efforts to impact to the entire Company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic partner to senior leaders and HR Business Partners (HRBP)/Business Advisors (BA) to diagnose organizational talent and culture needs
  • Implement impactful talent and organizational effectiveness strategies that deliver on business objectives
  • Leverage current tools and iterate on design to enable objective differentiation of talent based on capabilities, potential, behaviors, and aspirations
  • Translation of business needs to the ongoing talent assessment and outcomes, including talent development, placement, and succession
  • Identify critical talent pools, domain expertise, and continuity of our leadership and diversity talent pipelines to drive talent planning and retention initiatives
  • In collaboration with the HRBP/BA Team, identify, differentiate and calibrate future leaders of the organization
  • Evaluate external talent management and learning resources/vendors and make appropriate recommendations for the organization
  • Facilitate training sessions for HR-related topics as needed
  • Create/refine succession plans, identify development actions to accelerate successor readiness, and identify internal & external talent needs
  • Design content for and facilitate quarterly talent and diversity conversations 
  • Consult, coach/mentor, and share talent management & leadership development best practices with HR peers and clients in the business
  • Ensure rigorous enterprise performance management process through strategic consultation to consistently and objectively evaluate employee performance
  • Facilitate leadership team discussions to translate annual business priorities and leadership behaviors that drive clarity and accelerate performance
  • Ensure an inclusive, diverse, and equitable workforce, identify gaps in female and ethnically diverse representation, define mitigating actions including attracting, retaining, developing, and promoting female and ethnically diverse talent, and embedding these actions in the talent strategy
  • Partner closely with Global Talent and Organizational Effectiveness Team to design programs and tools that meet the business's unique needs and deploy targeted solutions as needed (i.e., assessment, coaching, talent acquisition, analytics, etc.)
  • Leverage employee engagement analytics to measure gaps and define mitigating actions to be embedded in the talent strategy

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology or related field
  • 7+ years of professional experience in Talent Management or Learning and Development
  • 7+ years facilitation experience and comfortable facilitating both virtually and in-person
  • Strong communication skills with a demonstrated capacity to effectively communicate to large audiences
  • Strong relationship-building skills and collaboration skills
  • Program/project management experience and the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Experience in technology, life sciences, biotechnology, or medical device industries is a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • HRIS/Talent management systems experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated project leadership skills to manage complex projects and develop innovative, creative ideas to address training-related problems, concerns, and programs.
  • Leadership and management development experience including designing (with vendors) and delivering enterprise solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications is required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proven analytical, data analysis and decision-making skills towards developing people.
  • Executive presence
  • Experience working across country cultures, functions and time zones
  • Expertise in prioritizing while managing multiple projects
