This position requires an onsite presence at either Idorsia location, Cherry Hill, NJ or Radnor, PA.  Candidates must be willing to commute.

 

The Manager, Accounts Receivable is primarily responsible for the management and preparation of the monthly accounting close activities related to the account receivable (AR) function. The Manager is responsible for assisting with revenue recognition, maintaining account receivable, as well as monitoring the order-to-cash cycle with the company.  The successful individual will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have a self-directed work style.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Support month-end close procedures by performing key control tests, processing journal entries, and completing revenue and account receivable related account reconciliations and fluctuation analysis with data provided by the Third-Party provider,
  • Assist in designing and implementing AR procedures within SAP and Third-party relationship; develop and refine controls and processes to monitor revenue and accounts receivable.
  • Monitor the billing/invoice and cash application process performed by the company's third -party logistics provider (3PL), maintain customer lists, monitor credit limit, review receivables aging and prepare analysis and reports as needed.
  • Monitor various credits issued to customer accounts from transactions such as rebates, returns, chargebacks by validating the quantity/price, by adhering to the company's return goods policy and contractual terms with customers with respect to the activity in their accounts.
  • Partner with the Order-to-Cash cross functional teams (Supply Chain, Commercial Ops, 3PL, Customers) seeking resolution for delayed, missed payments or disputed deductions, maintain appropriate documentation of action items, and expected resolution time and communicate with upper management.
  • Ensure the appropriate and adequate internal controls are in place in accordance with COSO2013 and company procedures as it relates to revenue and account receivables.
  • Provide information and support for internal and external audit purposes.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Accounting or related field required.  CPA preferred.
  • 5-7 year’s experience in Accounts Receivable
  • Experience with third-party AR vendors and oversight of that relationship
  • Experience with SAP 4/Hanna or equivalent ERP system
  • Experience in a biopharmaceutical company
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, and understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and controls
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
