Overview:

The bilingual Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (Bilingual Mandarin) will provide strategic and tactical financial leadership for Coherus and be the primary finance business partner to interface with one of our largest partner.  The role involves working with and collaborating with various teams such as FP&A, Accounting, Alliance Management, and our business partner directly. Fluency in English and Mandarin required.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Finance, the position will support development budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning and will help develop and optimize the company’s reporting, analytics, and financial planning platform. The position will also be responsible for providing strategic analysis and delivering the business insights that drive optimized financial decision-making for this  development and commercialization partnership.

  • Alignment and relationship building: Leading efforts to increase alignment, mutual understanding, and trust between collaboration participants, including activities such as the kickoff event and periodic collaboration meetings
  • Functional financial planning and business partner support
  • Financial reporting and metrics
  • Support the budget, forecast, and long-range planning process
  • Coordinate month-end close activity including variance analysis, trial balance review, review Accounting journal entries, and identification of potential adjustments
  • Perform ad-hoc business and strategic analysis as needed
  • Champion change and continually improving partnering processes as it relates to finance and the need to manage an appropriate level of information exchange
  • Utilize effective prioritization, problem solving, analytical abilities and attention to detail
  • Other tasks and alliance management responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree. MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred
  • Fluency in Mandarin
  • 8+ years of related experience, preferably with partnership alliance responsibilities
  • Experience with contract management systems
  • Biotech or pharma industry and/or a multi-national organization experience
  • Experience in biologics drug manufacturing and clinical studies modeling
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet/workbook and PowerPoint
  • Experience with project reporting, operational accounting and reporting
  • Effective organizational and analytical skills
  • Effective Interpersonal (team player/ability to work cross-functionally) skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong influencing and strategic thinking skills
