Position Summary:

The Director of Patient Marketing will be accountable for successfully developing and implementing the Patient launch strategy for lirentelimab. Lirentelimab targets Siglec-8, an inhibitory receptor found on the surface of mast cells and eosinophils and is being developed for lead indications in eosinophilic gastrointestinal diseases (EGIDs) with follow on indications. The successful individual in this role will be responsible for developing and executing the multi-channel plan for the Patient target audience across personal, non-personal and digital/media channels.  The position will report to the Vice President of Marketing. This person must have the ability to work independently as a strategic leader and contributor to the work, leading the team to flawlessly execute the tactical plan.

Your Role:

  • Develop the Patient launch strategy, multi-channel execution plan, and marquee programs from concept through development, launch and ROI measurement
  • Identify new opportunities, set objectives, strategies and resources needed to achieve patient activation objectives
  • Develop branded and unbranded campaigns by partnering with advertising agency to create positioning, messaging and core messages and story flow
  • Create core Patient assets and develop media mix targeting and planning for both a digital & traditional presence
  • Serve as the lead for all patient/consumer work and assume leadership of consumer launch campaigns and optimize media plan with cross functional team
  • Develop robust plan to monitor performance metrics of DTC programs and associated budget: make recommendations to optimize accordingly
  • Work in collaboration with Healthcare Provider (HCP) Marketing, Market Access, and Commercial Analytics to ensure professional strategies and tactics are aligned with DTC/patient promotional strategy
  • Drive broad cross functional support of the Patient strategy and tactics across the organization
  • Collaborate with Market Access Marketing and the Patient Support Hub to develop a compelling and integrated patient messages and communication platforms
  • Integrate analytics into all aspects of patient activation efforts and regularly refine programs
  • Collaborate with multiple functional groups across the organization, including but not limited to Sales, Regulatory, Market Access, Commercial Operations, Legal, Compliance, Patient Advocacy, and Medical Affairs
  • Track and manage budgets, outside spend, and vendor contracts
  • Understand key market trends and changes in healthcare delivery to develop market insights critical to value and access strategy and communication

Qualifications and Expertise:

  • BA/BS degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MHS) preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Brand Marketing with a strong background in Patient Marketing
  • Launch experience and digital experience required, experience in rare disease preferred
  • Experience in developing and launching new campaigns, managing external brand agencies and vendors
  • Experience in leading people
  • Understand key market trends and changes in healthcare delivery to develop market insights critical to value and access strategy and communication
  • Deep understanding of the regulatory environment for promotion
  • Ability to build strong relationships with co-workers of various backgrounds and expertise.
  • Self-motivated, and highly energetic individual with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, demonstrated ability to be a proactive thinker and to embody a solution-oriented mindset by transforming insights into impactful strategies and plans

This position is office-based and may require 15-20% travel to attend meetings and other events.

The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
