CK Group are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic Computational Biologist with experience in molecular biology, oncology, and/or immunology. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Biology and Protein Science teams, and will play a vital role in the company’s discovery and translational activities. 

As an integral member of the company's growing team, this individual will work with sequencing datasets to discover and validate novel targets using the company platform. They will also generate key data to support clinical development strategy and biomarker development. This is a high impact role with regular collaboration across the company.

This Computational Biologist role will be on a full time, permanent basis located in Waltham, MA.

Responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with biologists to answer critical questions using novel sequencing datasets, including analysis and interpretation of large complex data sets for new target and biomarker discovery, MoA, and efficacy studies
• Developing and executing strategies for mining of proprietary and public data for novel targets
• Translating computational analyses into biological insights, present and discuss results in project team meetings, and plan new experiments with biologists
• Working closely with early clinical development teams and translational oncology leads to identify patient populations and biomarkers for early clinical trials
• Present analyses, key findings, and recommendations to internal management, project teams, external academic collaborators, and research advisors

Requirements:

• PhD in Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or other quantitative discipline with a focus on molecular or cellular biology, or Masters with relevant experience
• Deep familiarity with molecular biology, oncology, and/or immunology
• Extensive experience in R or python with relevant statistical packages, Matlab experience a plus
• Experience with scRNA-seq analysis, including Seurat or scanpy packages
• Experience with cloud-based computing (AWS, GCP, or Azure) preferred
• Data management experience is a plus
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to identify and communicate priorities and research
