Amgen is seeking early career, talented professionals to participate in our Career Discovery Program (CDP). The Career Discovery Program is a 2-year rotational program that includes three, 8-month assignments, spanning across different business functions. Associate Rotational Program participants will be challenged as they rotate throughout roles across the business, while being provided the outstanding opportunity to grow broadly early in their career. Developing critical skills in areas such as leadership, teamwork, communication and project management are at the core of every rotation.
Starting from day one, participants will be introduced to the many nuances and complexities of our organization and asked to think creatively and independently. Members of the CDP will also be given the opportunity to work in cross-functional teams that include key groups across the business. CDP is supported by senior, executive leadership and provides staff in the program the opportunity to build long lasting mentorship relationships throughout career progression.

- Executes and completes high-quality deliverables on time to support respective business functions
- Manages cross-functional projects and initiatives
- Participates in strategic planning and insight generation for respective groups
- Maintains strong relationships with internal and external key players

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Arts and/or Bachelor of Science Degree completed by Summer 2022
Currently enrolled in final semester of a Bachelors degree in one of the following areas: Business, Marketing, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Communication, Engineering, Biology, Psychology, Public Health, or related field
Minimum GPA of 3.0 in current program
Possess U.S. citizenship, permanent legal residence, or unrestricted work authorization in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior internships related to major and projected areas of interest
Previous Amgen internship or co-op experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly motivated, self-starting nature; capable of and comfortable with independent critical thinking and problem solving; energized by change and challenges
Global mindset / willingness to relocate to other sites for future rotational assignments
Passionate about biotechnology field
Curiosity and desire to learn
Strong team player who can collaborate with colleagues on complex tasks
Track record of successfully owning, planning, and implementing multi-faceted projects
Ability to think critically, proactively anticipate problems and propose solutions
Ability to work effectively/collaboratively across teams, levels of management, across partnerships, leverage contact network to motivate diverse teams, and enable cross-functional collaborations
