Prellis Biologics employs 2-photon holography to print human tissues and organs in real time.  Current applications of our platform include printing of lymph node organs, which we are using to generate in vitro human antibody libraries, camelid antibody libraries, in vitro human immunogenicity screening, and in vitro human tumor/lymph node cocultures for therapeutic screening.  Prellis’ ability to print and culture healthy human tissue provides it with unique opportunities for generating and screening next generation human therapeutics.

Prellis Biologics is seeking a world class Immunologist to lead a talented team of discovery and development scientists.  Attributes of the successful candidate include:

  • Ph.D. in immunology with 5+ years of biologic drug discovery and development experience
  • Documented record of achievement in the field of immunology
  • Strong understanding of systems immunology
  • Experience with multi-specific antibody therapeutics and/or cellular therapeutics discovery and development
  • A high affinity for leading edge technologies, and the ability and desire to collaborate with a highly diverse, cross functional team
  • Experience leading a team of scientists to accomplish highly ambitious goals to even more ambitious timelines
  • Ability to embrace rapidly changing priorities and challenges
  • Working knowledge of tissue engineering and 3D cell culture

Other Requirements

Candidates should be:

  • Able to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area

 

 

Required Skills

  • Deep knowledge of immunology (cells, signaling, and pathways)
  • Strong experimental design skills
  • Proficiency in:
    • Primary cell isolation and culture
    • Fluorescence microscopy (including high resolution) and image analysis
    • Familiarity with immunoglobulin sequence formats and engineering
    • Large dataset parsing and analysis
    • In vitro assay design and execution
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication, computer, collaboration, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills

 

 

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Knowledge of cancer biology and systems immunology
  • Project management skills
  • Proficiency in:
    • Bioinformatic analysis of proteins and sequences
    • Writing, running and troubleshooting Python code
    • Molecular biology techniques
    • Laboratory systems development and implementation
  • Softwares: FlowJo, GraphPad Prism, Google
  • Strong writing/presenting skills
