We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated R&D Specialist for Regeneron’s Immunoscreening group in Therapeutic Proteins department with a focus on neuroscience and skeletal diseases. We are involved in reagent characterization, screening and identification of potential therapeutic antibodies and contribute to early discovery stage in-vitro characterization of the lead molecules. 

In this role, a typical day might include performing the following: 


•Develop robust assays to characterize existing and new reagents for neuroscience, skeletal and carbohydrate targets.
•Execute assays according to established protocols as a part of antibody high throughput screenings.
•Perform assays under BSL-2 conditions for protocols involving infectious agents.
•Optimize immunoassays to assess antibody therapeutics functional properties with referencing protocols and using robotic systems.
•Aid in optimization of assays for in-vitro quantitative characterization of the lead antibodies.
•Learn and utilize ELISA, MSD, ALPHALISA, Fluoresence and Fluoresence Polarization for studying antigen-antibody interactions.
•Develop peptide micro array based epitope mapping.
•Compile and analyze data utilizing Excel, Prism and other graphing software.
•Evaluate and implement new instrumentation and methods to characterize protein interactions.
•Inform manager and the project team of experimental results, prepare written and oral presentations to the screening team and interdepartmental project team.
•Keep accurate records of experimental procedures and results.

To be considered for the role, you must have a minimum of two years of experience with a Master’s degree or four years' experience with a Bachelor’s degree with knowledge of immunology and protein biology and hands-on bench research/development experience. Strong background in in-vitro protein characterization, such as ligand/receptor binding characterization and quantitative potency determination, protein structure-function relationship in the field of biochemistry or immunology. Skilled in aseptic techniques and human and mouse cell culturing. Familiarity with working principles of Fluorescence, ELISA and MSD.
