Summary: The CAPEX Project Coordinator, under the supervision of the Director of Engineering and Technology, will be responsible for the support of capital projects documentation through the management of initiation and close out documents, schedule tracking, and multi-departmental approval routing.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with end users to identify, define, and implement capital projects
  • Partner with end users to ensure recommended equipment meets requirements
  • Synthesize technical information from User Requirement Specification forms, existing equipment/utility configurations, and vendor equipment information to create project Request for Concurrence (RFC) forms
  • Track RFC forms through multi departmental approval routing
  • Update and track financial dashboards and KPIs
  • Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly project updates for project sponsors, department heads and Steering Committee
  • Work directly with contractors to coordinate and monitor construction and installation of new equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve
  • Gather technical information from User Requirement Specification forms to Request for Concurrence forms
  • Work effectively to gather any information for the set-up, creation, and maintenance of material numbers within SAP and MasterControl
  • Communicate with management on delays and obstacles that may affect daily functions
  • Create basic schedules for projects

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required for discussing complex business processes
  • Technical writing experience
  • Positive, customer service oriented skills and behavior
  • Ability to coordinate, facilitate, and organize resources
  • Possesses the skills and capability to plan ahead and stay on schedule
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments with little supervision
  • Ability to work in a team or independent setting and collaborate with employees from various departments
  • Desire to work in a fast paced, state of the art, expanding manufacturing facility

  • Experience prolonged standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching
  • Use hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment is required
  • Ability to sit for long periods to work on a computer
  • This position may be On-Call for project monitoring
  • Attendance is mandatory

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in an engineering or technology discipline or related field
  • High School Diploma/GED with follow on education in a technical school or trade with four (4) years of qualified experience in an FDA or other regulated engineering role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • GMP/GLP experience
  • Knowledge of design and construction methods of bio-processing equipment, clean utilities, and other equipment
  • Experience with project management software specifically Revu Bluebeam and SmartSheets
