OPPORTUNITY
We are looking to add an Associate Director of Project Management to Mammoth’s Therapeutics team. This member of a diverse team will play a crucial role in advancing our CRISPR platform towards the clinic. The ideal candidate will have strong technical experience both in biology and project management. The position will require the implementation and management of project plans for the drug discovery and development process including risk identification and mitigation strategies, resource estimation and budgeting, and stakeholder management. The successful candidate will advance the managed projects along the development path and into the clinic, and develop a thorough understanding of the underlying gene-editing science.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Actively plan and drive cross-functional project teams to deliver against integrated, detailed plans within budget and timelines
  • Enable proactive communication in collaboration with functional directors and managers to assure integration of project, company, and functional goals
  • Support technical leads with the creation of SOPs
  • Document and manage project risks, issues, and action items and drive actions to mitigate risks
  • Drive strategic programs and projects to align and integrate into the company’s short and long-term objectives
  • Organize regular team meetings to drive progress, track and mitigate risks, resolve/escalate issues, and review action items
  • Generate the necessary documentation and assist teams with creating project plans, protocols, reports, etc.
  • Hire and manage additional project managers as the number of projects increases
  • Report to the Executive leadership about progress and risks associated with Mammoth's portfolio on a regular basis 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Technical degree in biology, chemistry, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of technical project management experience in regulated biotech and/or pharmaceutical environment
  • Experience with project management tools e.g. SmartSheets, Asana, MS Project, advanced Excel abilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of GxP requirements and demonstrated experience managing projects or programs in the medical device and pharma manufacturing industries
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and international regulations
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including the ability to successfully influence others to achieve objectives in an environment of competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver reports to Sr. Management & Executives

TEAM
Our small-size proteins, such as Cas14 and CasPhi, are poised to transform disease treatment enabling novel editing approaches and delivery options that are difficult to achieve or not even possible with previously described CRISPR-Cas systems. Our teams are responsible for discovering and engineering novel CRISPR systems, and translating our unique CRISPR technology into therapeutic treatments with the ultimate goal of cures for indications with high unmet medical needs.
