ROLE SUMMARY

This is an exciting time to join the growing Inflammation and Immunology (I&I) business unit and make a positive impact in the US supporting the advancement of biosimilars.  This is a unique professional opportunity in a complex and competitive infused biologic (buy-and-bill) and specialty therapeutic marketplace, working specifically in Pfizer’s I&I biosimilars portfolio which is currently experiencing rapid volume and patient growth. The portfolio includes two of Pfizer’s biosimilars -- INFLECTRA (infliximab-dyyb), Pfizer’s biosimilar to Remicade that is the leading infliximab biosimilar in the US, and ABRILADA™ (adalimumab-afzb),  Pfizer’s adalimumab biosimilar to Humira, that is not yet launched. 

The Director, I&I Biosimilars Marketing will have a highly visible and critical cross functional leadership role that will be responsible for go-to-market strategic planning and launch management for ABRILADA as well as prioritized strategies to support continued growth of Pfizer’s flagship biosimilar, INFLECTRA. The director will ensure I&I Biosimilars embraces Bold Moves for both brands, oversee insight generation and critical research priorities, engage in launch excellence, and manage various other high priorities across the portfolio.

This role has various requirements including for example, previous marketing experience, solid strategic and analytical thinking, and a strong track record of executional excellence.  The ideal candidate would have a keen interest in helping to fulfill the promise of biosimilars in the US, and also have a proven track record of success in working productively and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross functional team environment.  Previous launch experience and US in-line marketing experience preferred.  This position reports to the Senior Director, I&I Biosimilars Marketing.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for leading strategic considerations for marketing across the franchise in I&I Biosimilars, including identifying potential synergies across brands, areas of innovation, and/or efficiencies
  • Act as Glocal liaison and coordinate with cross functional partners to develop detailed, tangible and actionable launch planning across customer groups (eg, patient, HCP, payer, specialty pharmacies) to ensure a successful US commercial launch of ABRILADA; ensure attainment of key milestones
  • Collaborate with Analytics, Pricing and Contracting, Brand Marketing and other stakeholders to conduct and/or assess prioritized research and analyses for I&I Biosimilars including to inform ABRILADA go-to-market strategies and to advance continued insight generation for INFLECTRA
  • Support and collaborate with PGS team to ensure strong supply management for I&I Biosimilars
  • Conduct advisory boards and develop comprehensive Provider/KOL engagement (HCP and Non-HCP stakeholders) strategies for I&I Biosimilars in partnership with Rheumatology and Gastroenterology Professional Relations Team
  • Collaborate, along with key members of Brand Marketing, with Pfizer enCompass (HUB) to identify and advance initiatives to further enable patient access to I&I Biosimilars
  • Provide strategic oversight for sales and launch meetings, working closely with the brand team members and Sales; maintain strong relationships with Sales leadership and account management
  • Be responsible for innovating and developing Bold Moves that support the uptake of the I&I Biosimilar portfolio
  • Lead operating plan development for I&I Biosimilars for 2023
  • Develop scenario planning across portfolio, taking into account competitive dynamics and risk mitigation needs; collaborate with Global to ensure ongoing, strong competitive insights and related planning
  • Collaborate effectively across I&I Biosimilars, Sales, Account Management, Medical, Legal and Regulatory to help address evolving customer needs across I&I Biosimilars including with HCPs, institutions, patients, payers/PBMs, etc
  • Manage agencies and vendors as needed to advance I&I Biosimilars marketing and launch priorities
  • Present updates to leadership on I&I Biosimilars marketing priorities including launch planning

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

  • Bachelors degree required
  • 5+ years of professional experience required
  • Previous specialty and/or biologics experience highly desirable
  • Experience with synthesizing data or complex information and distilling critical customer insights
  • Ability to think strategically while also ensuring executional excellence
  • Strong project management skills, including ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across various stakeholders, including for senior management presentations
  • Strong team player with ability to lead effectively without authority
  • Proactive self-starter, action-oriented, results-focused
     

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of broad pharmaceutical experience preferred 
  • Previous product launch and in-line US Marketing experience preferred
  • Previous experience managing agencies and/or vendors preferred
  • Financial acumen in managing A&P and developing forecasts preferred
