Job Details

The Genome Informatics and Data Engineering team seeks a Senior Front-End Applications Developer to support the breakthrough research being conducted in the Regeneron Genetics Center (RGC). As a developer in RGC, you would be building modern web applications to visualize and interact with vast amounts of genetic data. This is a front-end focused position that involves decoupled front-end development and backend service integration with various platforms and APIs using AWS services.


In this role, a typical day might include:
  • Designing and prototyping user interfaces

  • Developing and testing of front-end applications written in React

  • Creating visualizations in HighCharts, D3 and other libraries

  • Optimizing performance of large data rendering

  • Integrating with various APIs

  • Ensuring alignment to architecture guidelines and frameworks related to logging, authentication, security, error recovery, etc.

  • Participating in an agile delivery process to help size stories and own, research, and recommend new solutions

Requirements:
  • Expert in HTML5, CSS3, React and Typescript.

  • Solid understanding of web application architecture patterns.

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience developing and testing decoupled front-end user interfaces and APIs.

  • Experience working in a cloud environment with CI/CD processes.

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree required. AWS certifications are a plus.
