What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this dynamic role you will focus on solid state, physicochemical, and material sciences characterization to support for preclinical and clinical development programs. In doing so they will contribute to regulatory filings and to Amgens intellectual property, supporting patent applications. In addition, they will have the opportunity to apply innovative data science techniques to advance our high-throughput and digital workflows. Responsibilities include:

  • Solid state form selection and characterization support for DS and DP process development for small molecules and biologics portfolios from Discovery to Commercial.
  • Generation of fundamental knowledge to establish form development strategies and Target Product Profile.
  • Small molecule develop-ability assessment and preclinical formulation support.
  • Biopharmaceutical property evaluations applying in silico and in vitro models to guide development path.
  • Early clinical support for small molecule liquid dosage forms (e.g. druginbottle, parenteral) and technical transfers to support clinical manufacturing process.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree OR Associates degree and 4 years of Science experience OR High school diploma / GED and 6 years of Science experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacy, Chemistry or related field
  • Hands-on experience in research laboratories
  • Knowledge of polymorphic and crystal form screening
  • Experience applying statistical analysis and data visualization tools
  • Problem solver with a proactive demeanor and ability to collaborate and work in a cross functional/multidisciplinary environment
  • Abilities to take initiative, work independently, and be flexible in responsibilities
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills - ability to distill, craft and present key messages relative to diverse audience requirements
