Your ‘day to day’:

As Manager / Supervisor Quality you will be lead our Quality department at Triaga Inc., the position will be based in Wilson, NC.

Lead factory Quality department assuring full Compliance of manufactured products (combustible cigarettes, RRP, etc.) with the established requirement of the Quality Management System (QMS) and Tolling or Contract Manufacturing where applicable.

Your Responsibilities:
  • QUALITY & COMPLIANCE: Ensure quality control activities are properly set for incoming; materials, ingredients, semi-finished products, raw tobacco, tobacco related products, and finished goods, in full compliance with regulations, consumer expectations, Triaga Inc. requirements and product specifications.; Define performance indicators in order to monitor product and process quality and performances for identification of improvement initiatives.
  • STRATEGY AND PROJECT: Ensure the availability of a communication strategy and the deployment of Quality programs in order to provide stakeholders with necessary skills and knowledge to take ownership for quality aspects within their areas of responsibility thus ensuring consistent product Quality.; Drive and foster initiation and implementation of new projects (global, regional and local) by ensuring communication, alignment and on time deliverables aiming to achieving continuous simplification, automation and digitalization of our quality control strategy as well as the evolution of our Quality Management System.
  • CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Ensure a non-conformity management process (including consumer complaints and timely investigations) is established and duly implemented.; Ensure quality improvement opportunities are identified, prioritized and action plans determined in order to guide the organization through continuous improvement.; Own the PR-SS process (product recall) and ensure timely and accurate investigations and reporting.
  • AUDIT: Establish and maintain appropriate quality work streams to ensure readiness of internal/external audits including risk-free evidence package for regulatory inspection whenever applicable.; Ensure the audit program is established on a risk based approach, monitored and maintained annually including timely, accurate, and reliable provision of results to ensure full compliance with Triaga specifications, requirements and defined objectives.
  • LEADERSHIP: Manage, staff and develop a motivated and skilled team to ensure performance levels, professional development and objectives. Achievement.; Define and manage departmental budget and expenses monitoring based on factory objectives to ensure optimal allocation of resources, adequate funding and compliance with financial practices.; Implement respective OPEN+ pillars according to phase progression and in alignment with site OPEN+ plans.
  • SUSTAINABILITY / HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT: Promote and apply all rules concerning Triaga Quality, environment, health and safety. Report all situations requiring actions in order to minimize or eliminate risks exposure to personnel, company assets and societal impacts and be in line with or ahead of any applicable Law requirements and Company standards.
Who we’re looking for:

As a passionate Manager / Supervisor Quality willing to experiment and innovate, who would be able to deal with ambiguity and would feel comfortable working in fast changing environment. A person who has also:
  • Honors / Master's degree in Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5 years experience in quality assurance within the tobacco, food, pharmaceutical or similar industry of which at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  •  Demonstrable ability to motivate teams and lead through influence.
  • Confident personality with the ability to successfully define goals, lead teams and drive execution with minimal guidance amidst multiple priorities and goals.
