Your ‘day to day’:
Develop and implement the environment, health, safety (Sustainability) systems and programs, in accordance with company Principle and Practices, legal requirements and recognized best practices, in order to prevent injury to employees, damage to the environment, minimize the business impact of foreseeable losses and meet legal and company requirements. Continually improve the system based on audit results, incident investigations, business and process changes. Act as professional Sustainability reference and point of contact. Plan, Execute and Monitor functional Sustainability activities to ensure a mitigated risk level.

Your Responsibilities:
- Implement the Sustainability activities and plans, by giving advice to the managers and supervisors to engage the employees to behave according to Sustainability policies and procedures and continuously seek to raise the awareness of management, supervisors and employees, in order achieve Sustainability objectives and targets.
- Develop, implement and monitor the Sustainability management system and programs. Continually search for improvements to protect people from injury and occupational illnesses, the environment from damage, the business from unnecessary losses, based on company Sustainability Principles and Practices and applicable regulatory requirements. Ensure that procedures are appropriated to the risk profile of the factory and accepted; the responsibilities are understood; and the programs are supported.
- Ensure consistent and straightforward communication and replication from any sources of learning (such as accidents, audits, benchmarking...).
- Execute a proactive loss prevention program including risk management (identification, assessment, and control), inspections, audits, and emergency planning, by monitoring their implementation, in order to eliminate or reduce health, safety and environmental risks to an acceptable level. Keep abreast with the latest Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental regulatory requirement and the latest technology on the prevention, control, in order to give advice and direction to the organization in meeting legal and company requirement. Ensure contractors compliance with Sustainability legal and Triaga minimum requirements.
- Collaborate with the company medical doctor to ensure that potential workplace health issues are identified and dealt with. Be the professional reference for PPE and working tool selection.
- Develop and implement Sustainability training modules, by analyzing the training needs, and maintaining training records of employees, contractors and visitors, to ensure they fully understand the Sustainability aspects of their job and responsibilities. Continuously improve Sustainability trainings based on feedback and emerging needs.
- Provide timely reporting of Sustainability performance indicators to factory management, cluster/region and Sustainability dept at OC, by ensuring the data is updated and accurate, in order to ensure reliability of the information.
- Participate in Sustainability projects, by providing clarity on the integration of Sustainability requirements in the design, construction/installation and commissioning of new and/or revamped buildings, engineering works, machinery, and equipment. Monitor the technical certification of all new equipment brought into the factory, in order to eliminate or reduce risks and comply with legal requirements. Coordinate programs to reduce waste and emissions and minimize use of energy and natural resources, by monitoring and analyzing current usage and outputs with relevant departments highlighting areas for improvement, in order to achieve environmental key performance indicators and achieve continual improvement.
- Coordinate the accident investigation, analysis, and reporting and maintain records of all incident/accident information accordingly, in order to allow Sustainability Department and Management to identify basic causes and take actions to prevent the incident to occur again. Implement and test emergency preparedness program, in order to eliminate or minimize losses due emergency incident (as per Triaga definition).
- Support the Sustainability projects on the identification of the needs, weaknesses and/or emerging issues and propose solutions, in order to improve Sustainability performance and to achieve Sustainability objectives and targets.
- Participate to affiliate budget exercise through the development of projects and resources needed to close legal gaps, non compliances and Sustainability improvement needs; monitor agreed projects execution.
Who we’re looking for:
A EHS&S Sustainability Specialist, willing to experiment and innovate, who would be able to deal with ambiguity and would feel comfortable working in fast changing environment. A person who has also:
- College/University degree in Science/Engineering. Major in Sustainability (Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environment Engineering) subjects is preferred.
- 1-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment with a detailed understanding of legal requirements and applicable standards (e.g. ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 50001).
- Fluent English, Local language knowledge is an asset. PC literate (Word, Excel, Ppt). Ohsas 18001 and ISO 14001 knowledge.
