Who You Are:

BridgeBio has grown rapidly over the past two years and expects to continue the trajectory with the recent success of our drug portfolio. Critical to enabling this continued growth, BridgeBio needs a strong pipeline of leaders across the scientific and clinical functions. The (Senior) Director, Scientific & Technical Executive Talent will lead the effort to build this pipeline of top technical talent. You will understand the external talent landscape, identify existing and emergent talent, and build strong relationships with future BridgeBio team members. To succeed in this role, you will need a deep understanding of the drug development process, a strong network of leaders across the industry, an ability to quickly assess talent that would be a good fit for BridgeBio, and the ability to build strong relationships with candidates for current and future roles.

  • You will take ownership over the entire effort of building out this pipeline of top technical talent. The specific responsibilities we expect this will entail include:
  • Research leading organizations are known for particular steps in the drug development process
  • Identify leading candidates across priority roles
  • Work with internal leaders to coordinate on coverage of priority candidates
  • Engage candidates to build and maintain relationships (e.g., hosting in-person individual meetings, attending essential conferences, and traveling to significant biotech hubs)
  • Maintain an active database of talent (e.g., ATS, CRM, or equivalent)
  • Support emerging business needs in filling roles with high-quality candidates

Education, Experience & Skills Requirements:
  • You are the ultimate combination of a strategic thinker, a relationship builder, and an organized implementer. Some specific characteristics we expect will indicate a high likelihood of success:
  • Passion for helping patients
  • Deep understanding of R&D, clinical development, regulatory affairs, biometrics, CMC, and other core technical functions
  • Strong existing network in life sciences
  • Ability to quickly identify and assess top talent, especially the attributes required to succeed at BridgeBio
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and potential candidates
  • Compelling communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently
  • Organized in collecting and sharing information about candidates
  • Deep understanding of core elements of BBP culture, values, and priorities
  • We expect that an ideal candidate would have:

  • 5+ years of working in talent acquisition in the Life Sciences space
  • 15+ years of professional work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required (ideally in a relevant science field)
  • Advanced degree, especially relevant Ph.D., ideal
  • To succeed in this role, you will need to travel extensively to meet top candidates
