How you will Achieve More with Intellia:
We are looking to hire an Associate Computational Biologist to support the development of CRISPR/Cas9 based therapeutics. You will play a critical role in building and maintaining informatics pipelines for guide/primer design and the analysis of NGS data. You will also have opportunities to bring out new data-driven hypotheses/solutions by applying Data Mining or Machine Learning methods on Intellia’s proprietary large datasets. Additional role responsibilities include:
Define and develop analysis pipelines to analyze Illumina NGS and third-generation sequencing data for T cell therapeutics.
Apply rigorous statistical methods to drive actionable insights from internal and external datasets.
Collaborate with a diverse team of experimentalists, computational scientists, and clinicians to address key therapeutic questions in a data-centric manner.
Our ideal candidate will have a BS/MS in Bioinformatics or a related field, with industry experience, or a Ph.D. in Computational Biology/Bioinformatics or a related field. You should be able to write clear and effective code in Python or R. Additionally, if you are familiar with one of the more low-level and efficient languages, such as C/C++, Rust, Java/Scalar, that’s even better. Experience working with NGS data analysis, such as whole genome/exome sequencing, bulk or single-cell RNA-Seq, is also required. The Informatics team at Intellia is a group of bioinformaticians and software engineers with diverse backgrounds. You will have the opportunity to learn a broad range of technologies from bioinformatics pipeline and algorithm development, data visualization to web development and machine learning.
