What You Will Achieve

The primary function of the Senior Aseptic Training Specialistis to provide training to Sanitation colleagues.The candidate will be responsible for ensuring all new hires for Sanitation are trained consistently for basic understanding related to cleaning procedures and practices. The candidate will also be responsible for performing necessary re-trainings or certifications for all existing Aseptic and Terminal Sterilized Sanitation colleagues. Candidate will be responsible for performing, reviewing, observing, and critiquing basic cleaning practices in R1, R2, and R3 aseptic core, terminal sterilized core,and support areas. Candidate will be required to complete Aseptic Certification and Certified Fellow Employee (CFE) training at Rocky Mount. This individual

develops, schedules, and administers employee training programs covering those procedures and functions necessary to support the operations. This training includes but it not limited to gowning, aseptic technique, and cleaning technique. The Senior Aseptic Training Specialist will assist with investigation and CAPA implementation.

How You Will Achieve It
  • Train new and existing employees on basic cleaning techniques in R1, R2, and R3 aseptic core , terminal sterilized core, and support areas

  • Develop/improve/update necessary training materials

  • Update procedures to correctly reflect practices

  • Identifies, develops, and conducts the training required for the certification of new and existing personnel with respect to work methods, procedures, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and task related activities.

  • Design, structure, schedule all training requirements for Sanitation

  • Develop attainable training plans for new employees/sanitation colleagues

  • Update procedures(SOPs, Job aids, SOJTs) as required

  • Work with cross-functional groups/teams to harmonize techniques/practices

  • Work with appropriate personnel to prevent and remediate any issues/trends



  • Requires BS/BA Degree, preferably in a science related field

  • Requires 2+ years of manufacturing experience

  • Requires a thorough knowledge of GMPs and ability to handle multiple projects

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to interface with all levels of management is required

  • One (1) year of training experience is preferred

  • Must be familiar with Sanitation and Disinfection techniques

  • Sanitation experience preferred

  • Must be familiar with aseptic gowning and aseptic techniques

  • Must be able to positively convey to others a working knowledge of current regulations, guidance, GMPs that pertain to the Cleaning and Disinfection Program and aseptic processing.

  • Must be able to assess training needs for individual and area



Must be able to function in stressful situations while being able to remain focused on the necessary requirements. Must be able to appropriately identify and escalate issues in a timely manner. Must be able to effectively communicate with others while enforcing proper aseptic technique and cleaning practices.  Must be able to work in cleanrooms using and enforcing aseptic technique while donned in aseptic uniform attire (hood, boots, goggles, mask, coverall, gloves).  Must be able to endure physical labor, stand for long periods of time, and withstand exposure to cleaning chemicals (alcohol, LpH, Sporklenz, etc). Must be able to wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) including respirator, as required.


Day Shift 8 hours; Must be able to work on weekend, off shifts, and holiday as business demands
