As an HEOR Real World Evidence Scientist you will be taking a leading role in supporting Regeneron’s real-world data & analytics needs, with focus on General Medicine. Our real world data team generates real-world evidence to inform, support, and strengthen global development and commercialization activities. Additionally, you will translate and implement internal real-world evidence generation requests using the subject matter expertise in epidemiology/biostatistics, real-world data, and advanced modeling techniques using internal and/or external real-world data and analytics resources.

A typical day may include the following:

Building, strengthening, and supporting Regeneron’s real-world data & analytics needs

Serving as subject matter authority in the sources and the associated analytics in supporting RWE generation activities.

Partnering with the HEOR therapeutic area/product lead and HEOR Epidemiologist developing real-world evidence analysis plans for internal real-world evidence requests. You will contribute to analyzing in-house real-world data, leading all aspects of real-world data analyses conducted by external partners, and effectively communicating analytics results to internal partners.

Leading standardization of data structure and analytics of in-house real-world data and maintaining knowledge of best practices and standards through engagement with groups leading such initiatives in the research community (e.g. Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership, etc.)

Evaluating and in-licensing real-world data assets and/or analytics tools

To be considered for this, you should have a Doctoral (PhD, PharmD, MD, or a Masters degree in health services research, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, or a subject area with a strong focus in the application of data science to healthcare data. Your experience should include 7+ years with a Doctorate or 9+ years with a Master's in pharma/biotech, consulting, or academic settings in Outcomes Research/Epidemiological Research/Health Economics is required. Rich experience using real-world data (both US and ex-US) commonly used in epidemiology/HEOR studies (e.g. administrative claims, disease/exposure registries, EMRs). Familiarity with oncology RWD is a plus. Proficiency in statistical-, computational- and machine-learning methodologies for prospective and retrospective RW studies. Advanced programming capacity in any two of the following software packages: Python/SAS/R. Knowledge of visualization software (Tableau, R, Python)

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to effectively communicate model assumptions, statistical methods, and key findings to technical and non-technical partners

  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
