This is an great opportunity for the right person to significantly contribute to the success of a fast-growing start-up while educating customers about our novel assays for detecting harmful pathogens and assisting with cancer research.
This position requires good scientific knowledge along with the desire to help us develop new markets and maintain business within existing accounts. There is the opportunity to continue to progress technically by spending 25% or more in the lab
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Staying up-to-speed with the technology and working in the lab as desired
Applications support, business development and consultative selling (we will train you if needed)
Working with the GTM team to create superior go to market strategies using our unique digital and analytical solutions
Creatively prospecting for new accounts in a variety of industries
Assisting with the creation of marketing materials to promote GTM’s solutions
Education/Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science/Arts (BS/BA) degree in chemistry, biology, or related scientific field
Strong people skills
A desire to help customers discover our unique solutions that improve their lives and those of their patients and community
Strong ability to learn is required
Effective oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work flexible shifts / strong part-time applicants will be considered
Experience:
Requires 1-2 years of scientific experience relevant to the technical area of responsibility
Experience with digital selling, preferred but not required
Experience with RT-PCR or ddPCR, preferred but not required
Experience in the clinical space or water industry a plus, but not required
Desired:
Proficiency and sales experience with genomics, NGS (next generation sequencing), molecular diagnostics, and/or pathology/ immunohistochemistry.
Experience with biotech/pharma and/or pharma service providers is highly valued.
