Postdoctoral Fellow Discovery Attribute Sciences
This could be your everyday
Lets do this. Lets change the world. During this program, you will be provided with an enriching environment to inspire innovation that will contribute to the development of human therapeutics.
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated postdoc in the Discovery Attribute Sciences Department at Amgen. The focus of this role is to develop methodologies for characterizing key steps involved in the heterobifunctional molecule (i.e., PROTAC) induced protein degradation. This research endeavor will encompass multiple biophysical techniques including surface plasmon resonance (SPR), isothermal calorimetry (ITC), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), to understand complex relationships between molecular recognition of PROTAC-mediated ternary complexes and targeted degradation. The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. in biophysics, biochemistry, chemical biology or related fields. Background in protein NMR spectroscopy, experience with cell-free protein expression and isotope or paramagnetic tag labeling are highly desirable. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to interact with Amgen scientists across all research areas, work on state-of-the-art instruments and publishing their work.
The postdoctoral position is for 3 years with the option to extend for an additional year.
