Senti Biosciences is seeking a driven and talented Process Engineer to join the Process Development Team at the South San Francisco Facility. The ideal candidate will perform process development activities that will support the clinical and commercial production of human therapeutic products. Candidate must be able to work effectively within a team environment and have knowledge of cell culture and/or manufacturing processes.
  • Design and execute experimental protocols for process optimization. 
  • Communicate and collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing and Quality groups to plan development activities to meet manufacturing production timelines.
  • Supports technology transfer activities between process development and manufacturing. 
  • Analyze experimental results and make technical recommendations for process improvements.
  • Assist in writing of the Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) section of IND for regulatory submissions.
  • Assist in writing and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Manufacturing Batch Records (BR).
  • Preparation of development protocols and reports.
  • Participate in qualification activities of manufacturing equipment.
  • Identify raw materials for manufacturing. 
  • Aid in the training of process development personnel.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical writing and presentation experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in related scientific field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working in a biotech/ pharmaceutical industry.
  • Ability to work within a team structure.
  • Knowledge of cell culture techniques and equipment. 
  • Experience in Aseptic Techniques. 
  • Experience with process scale-up and optimization activities.
  • Experience in technology transfer for manufacturing of clinical products.
  • Strong communication and documentation (SOPs and BR) skills.
  • Understanding of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
  • Experience in culturing of immune cells (specifically T-cells / NK cells).
  • Experience working with the following cell culture equipment: CliniMacs Plus Instrument, CliniMacs Prodigy, LOVO automatic cell processing system and Controlled Rate Freezer (CRF).
  • Experience in performing cell culture transductions (Retroviral transductions is a plus).
  • Understanding of Analytical methods such as Flow Cytometry and PCR is a plus.
